What if COVID-19 impacts Hockey for 2020-2021?
WHAT HAPPENS IF COVID-19 IMPACTS HOCKEY FOR 2020-2021?
Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association budgets each program on the basis of the program operating for a full season.
There are a few scenarios of what could possibly happen this fall.
In the event that Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta cancel the minor hockey program for the 2020-2021 season what will happen?
- We will issue full refunds to anyone who has registered for the season and tryouts
What if we can play but not start until later?
- Our program is based on September - March with September being tryout conclusion and conditioning camps and evaluations, and if we have to start later, we will run later so the season may be October - April or November - May depending on when we can get started.
What if the season starts and we have to stop because of another wave of COVID-19 shuts things down?
- We will pro-rate refunds on the basis of the amount of season we were able to play
What if I registered and then have decided not to play?
- We have a refund process whereby the family submits a Refund Request Form (found on our website under FORMS) and a refund is issued less a small administration fee to cover credit card charges
What if I have registered for tryouts and then decided not to tryout?
- We have a refund process whereby the family submits a Refund Request Form (found on our website under FORMS) and a refund is issued less a small administration fee to cover credit card charges
What if I start the season and then decide not to play or I move?
- We have a refund process whereby the family submits a Refund Request Form (found on our website under FORMS) and a refund is prorated based upon the amount of season played or tryout that is participated in and a refund is issued less a small administration fee to cover credit card charges
