U13 - Tryout Information

Ice times for Tuesday Sept 5 and Wednesday Sept 6. Both dates are at CFC East.

Tuesday Sept 5:

5:00pm - 6:00pm - Group A

6:15pm - 7:15pm - Group B

7:30pm - 8:30pm - Group C

Wednesday Sept 6:

4:30pm - 5:15pm - Goalie Session - All Goalies

5:30pm - 6:30pm - Group B

6:45pm - 7:45pm - Group C

8:00pm - 9:00pm - Group A

Thursday Sept 7:

Groups and Times are TBA (1st ice time will be 5:00pm)

Hi U13 Hockey Families,

I hope this finds everyone well and your time away from the rink has everyone ready to get going this fall!

I know many of the families that have players trying out for U13 AA are always anxious this time of year, and want to know when tryouts are, what is the process or timeline, and when will the team be picked. Below is a summary of the tryout process for this year, however, please keep in mind that this is not completely set in stone, and I may pivot based on multiple variables.

Tryout Process

• Dates:
  • September 5, 6, & 7 (First three skates that must be attended to move forward unless approved by Charlie Mattersdorfer)
    • The first three skates will be a mix of individual skills, drills, small area games and intersquad games.
  • First reassignments will be made after the third skate and players moving forward will be posted the morning of September 8^th.
  • Additional Try-out skates
    • We will hold additional skates starting on September 11^th. We will continue the skates on September 12^th and 13^th as needed. Reassignments will be made throughout this process as we continue to evaluate and make decisions.
    • Reassignments will be posted each morning.
  • Pre-season Tournament
    • LMHA is hosting their annual U13 AA pre-season tournament starting on September 15^th.
    • If needed, we will carry additional players for this tournament weekend to further evaluate the U13 AA group.
  • Final Roster
    • We will post the final roster on the evening of September 17^th or the evening of September 18^th.

Also, in discussions with LMHA, we have decided to only have weekday tryouts so the players and the families can have the first two weekends of school to themselves as everyone’s schedules will become extremely hectic.

Registration covers starting in AA to CAHL Tier team selections.

Tryout fee is $225.00 

Tryout registration closes Thursday Aug 31 @ noon.

Tentative start date for the U13AA will be Tuesday September 5.

U13 CAHL Tier tryouts will follow the U13AA selections.
