As a successful elite hockey program grows, its support from the community does too.
Lethbridge Minor Hockey is seeking billet families for the 2022-23 hockey season with the AAA teams at the U18 level.
The billet players will range in age from 15 to 17, many of whom don’t drive or have their own vehicles.
Billet families are asked to provide a room, laundry facilities, nutritious meals and a home environment for the players.
To provide that family environment because these kids would typically still be living at home. So we would be searching for a similar type of environment for them to live in while they’re away from home.
With tryouts taking place over September and many moving parts at play, our goal is to have to billet families arranged by August 2023.
